Job Summary
A Data Analyst with our Solutions Development Department is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and reporting solutions that support data driven decision making across the organization. This role works closely with business stakeholders to independently gather requirements, identify gaps in existing data and reporting, and recommend scalable, sustainable BI solutions. The successful candidate will translate business needs into high quality Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards that deliver actionable insights.
This is a hybrid role, with 1–2 days per week expected in person at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Working with Project Manager/Stakeholders to help define requirements and advise on solutions that best meet business needs and system design.
- Working with Software Architect to ensure adherence to best practices, security, and system architecture.
- Collaborating with IT team to integrate Power BI solutions with underlying data sources and enterprise systems.
- Working directly with business stakeholders to independently gather, clarify, and document reporting and analytics requirements, including KPIs, metrics, and success criteria.
- Proactively identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities in existing data and reporting, and recommending appropriate Power BI, data modeling, or process improvements.
