The Cloud System Engineer III will serve as the GitLab CI/CD Subject Matter Expert, designing and optimizing secure, scalable pipelines that support application development and deployment within a modern AWS environment in a remote work arrangement. What You Will Do in This Role
The Cloud System Engineer III will lead the design, optimization, and integration of GitLab CI/CD solutions within AWS, enabling secure, scalable, and reliable cloud application development and deployment.
Responsibilities include:
- Architect, configure, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support efficient application build, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Partner with engineering teams to design and implement a scalable, secure, and standardized pipeline framework aligned with AWS infrastructure standards and organizational requirements.
- Build reusable pipeline templates, modules, and automations to accelerate new project onboarding, promote consistency, and improve development efficiency.
- Implement automated testing, quality gates, security scanning, and artifact management throughout the CI/CD pipeline to promote application quality, security, and reliability.
- Integrate GitLab workflows with AWS services, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, EKS, S3, IAM, and CloudFormation/Terraform, to support automated and reliable cloud deployments.
