The Retirement Plan Services Technology group builds and maintains the applications and platforms supporting Schwab’s retirement plan business, one of the leading providers of retirement plan services for medium to large-sized companies in the U.S. Our teams deliver high-quality solutions which enable employees of the companies we serve to create secure financial futures. As a Software Engineer in Retirement Plan Services Technology, you will work with your fellow team members to consistently produce high-quality output by participating in all facets of software delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, tooling, and support. You will serve as a strong, versatile, hands-on software engineer, delivering solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing software applications to support retirement plan administration
- Participate on an agile team of developers, testers, product owners and scrum masters
- Participate in discussions and engage other team members to flesh out system requirements where minimal information is provided
- Design and build automated tests
- Release applications to production environments on a regularly scheduled basis
- Provide production application support for applications that require 99% uptime
