Business Analyst / Process Analyst
Role Overview
The Business Analyst / Process Analyst will support City departments by evaluating business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating operational needs into actionable IT and process recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct current-state and future-state business process assessments
- Document workflows, requirements, use cases, and functional specifications
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across departments
- Facilitate interviews, workshops, and working sessions with City stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT staff and consultants to align solutions with business needs
- Support system selection, implementation planning, and validation activities
- Ensure process and system changes align with municipal policies and regulations
- Assist with change impact assessments and transition planning
Required Experience
- 8 12+ years of business analysis or process improvement experience
- Experience working with diverse business and technical stakeholders
- Public-sector or municipal experience preferred

- Business process modeling and documentation
- Requirements elicitation and analysis
- Stakeholder facilitation and communication
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Certifications
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent
