About The Opportunity
A well-established Crown Corporation, HQ’d in Ottawa with an office in Toronto, is looking for a Business Data Analyst to join their thriving Technology & Data group. The selected candidate will join a small Data team with the shared purpose of optimized enterprise data insights and informed strategic direction through the design and execution of scalable data solutions.
This is a permanent position and employs a hybrid work model consisting of three days/week in-office. As they have offices in both Toronto and Ottawa, only candidates residing in these two regions will be considered.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Degree/Diploma in Data Analysis, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or equivalent
- 4+ years of business data analysis/engineering experience within a Microsoft environment (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with Azure Databricks, PySpark (Python, Apache Spark), and various data engineering (ETL/ELT) and data warehousing concepts
- Eligibility to obtain Level II Secret Clearance
Attitude and aptitude take precedence over a perfect technical match.
About The Job
Salary is commensurate of experience ($85,000 to $100,000) and is in addition to a government pension/benefits plan, four weeks of vacation, annual bonus, and an annual wellness allowance.
