Business Analyst/Requirements Analyst
MicroHealth is seeking a Business Analyst/Requirements Analyst to support our client and team. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Indian Health Service (IHS) Division of Data Management and Analytics (DDMA) Program Management Office (PMO) team, specifically supporting the National Patient Information Reporting System (NPIRS). The primary focus will be on applying best practices as outlined in the Project Management Process Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to capture, document, and communicate technical requirements, including design, build, and test plans for assigned projects. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying, validating, and mitigating technology risks.

This is a remote position.

Primary Role and Evaluation Criteria:
The IHS NPIRS Business Analyst will be evaluated based on the following ten core competency areas:

Strategic Analytical Thinker with Problem-Solving Skills

• Translate vague goals into clear problem statements, outcomes, and success measures
• Identify stakeholders, decision-makers, and competing priorities
• Define scope boundaries and distinguish MVP (Minimum Viable Product) from "nice-to-have" features
• Assess operational and functional baselines to define direction and strategy for agile development projects

Elicitation and Documentation Requirements

- Run effective discovery sessions: interviews, workshops, observation, and document analysis
- Convert needs into epics, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria
- Capture business rules, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints
Maintain traceability from requirement design test- release using Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM)
- Effectively communicate requirements to technical developers during grooming sessions
- Document customer requirements clearly and comprehensively, ensuring alignment with business needs
