GECO Asia is Hiring: Automation Engineer (Junior–Mid Level QA)

We are looking for an
Automation Engineer (1–4 years experience)
to support the development and execution of automated and manual tests to ensure software quality. You will work closely with QA and development teams to build, enhance, and maintain automation solutions.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain
automated test scripts
using modern tools (Playwright preferred)
- Support and enhance
existing automation frameworks and test suites
- Review requirements and contribute to
test planning, design, and test case creation
- Execute
functional, regression, and feature testing
- Perform
backend validation using SQL queries and test data analysis
- Log, track, and verify defects throughout the defect lifecycle
- Maintain
test documentation, reports, and execution results
- Participate in
defect triage and QA process improvements

Qualifications

- 1–4 years of QA / Automation experience
- Experience with
Playwright (TypeScript preferred) or JavaScript-based web automation
- Exposure to
Appium (TypeScript/JavaScript preferred)
for mobile automation
- Strong programming skills in
Python or JavaScript
- Experience using
Python for data validation or data transformation
- Working knowledge of
SQL queries for backend data validation
- Solid understanding of
software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC

Nice to Have

- Experience in
automation of desktop applications or workflow tools
- Exposure to
RPA tools
(e.g., UiPath or open-source alternatives)
- Knowledge of
batch scripting / Unix-like environments
- Experience with
API testing tools
(e.g., Postman)
- Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines
