SALARY: $103,109.00 - $134,040.00, commensurate with experience.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager of Finance provides operational leadership and professional accounting expertise in support of the Board’s departmental, school, and internal audit functions. Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, Finance, the position ensures accuracy, consistency, and compliance of financial processes across all business units, including accounting operations, payroll and benefits, budgeting, school-based and program-specific financial management.
This role plays a key part in coordinating financial services to schools and departments, preparing and reviewing financial reports, supporting audits, and monitoring compliance with Board policies, Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAB), and Ministry of Education regulations. The Assistant Manager contributes to continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems, internal controls, and reporting quality, and assists in developing the financial capacity of school and administrative staff through coaching and guidance.
