About The Role
The Senior Accountant at CHRISTUS Health plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting within the organization. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing general ledger month-end journal entries relevant to assigned functional accounting teams, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The role requires a thorough understanding of US GAAP, healthcare-specific accounting issues, and the ability to analyze financial data effectively. The Senior Accountant collaborates closely with various teams across the organization, including corporate and facility-based departments, to provide accurate financial information, perform variance analyses, and assist with reconciliations.
