About The Role
The Investment Tax Accountant for Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives plays a vital role within the Corporate Tax Department at MassMutual. This individual contributor position is based in Boston MA, New York NY, or Springfield MA, and involves supporting securities tax operations, process improvements, and strategic initiatives across various investment types including partnerships, real estate, and derivatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze securities transactions, ensure accurate tax outcomes, and maintain a robust control environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of tax processes through automation, system enhancements, and project management, ultimately supporting the company's broader investment and tax strategies.


Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with at least six years of relevant tax experience, preferably within public accounting or the financial services sector. Advanced qualifications such as a Master’s degree in Taxation or a CPA designation are highly desirable.
