About The Role
The DuPage County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance/Accounting Team. This full-time position supports department leadership and program managers by managing a variety of accounting functions, including general ledger activities, grant accounting, and financial reconciliation. The incumbent will work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with grant requirements, and effective budget management. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, along with at least three years of relevant accounting experience, including experience in government or public sector accounting. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in financial recordkeeping, grant management, and reconciliation processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data are essential.
