About this role
INSIDE SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – MANUFACTURING & ESTIMATING
AccuTrex Products, Inc. | Canonsburg, PA
AccuTrex Products, Inc. is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Inside Sales Account Executive to manage customer accounts, prepare manufacturing quotes, and coordinate customer requirements from quotation through order processing.
This is not a traditional inside sales or call-center position. We are a contract manufacturer, which means every customer, part, quote, quantity, specification, price, and delivery requirement can be different. We need someone who is comfortable working in the details, asking questions, and making sure information is accurate before a job moves forward.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Manage relationships with assigned customers and serve as their primary internal point of contact.
* Prepare accurate and timely manufacturing quotations based on customer drawings, specifications, quantities, materials, processes, and other requirements.
* Establish pricing and delivery estimates while working with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments.
* Review customer purchase orders against quotes and verify pricing, part numbers, drawing revisions, specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements.
* Identify missing or conflicting information and resolve questions before orders are released to production.
* Determine when customer requirements cannot be met and work with the customer and internal teams on acceptable alternatives.
* Process new orders, changes, rush requests, and other customer requirements.
* Communicate pricing changes, lead times, production updates, and delivery information to customers.
* Coordinate special requirements involving finishing, documentation, packaging, labeling, shipping, or quality.
* Maintain accurate quotation and customer records.
* Assist Production and Quality with customer questions or issues.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The right person for this position is someone who is extremely detail-oriented and comfortable managing a lot of changing information at the same time.
You may be a good fit if you:
* Have experience in manufacturing, technical sales, estimating, quoting, customer service, or account management.
* Understand that manufacturing pricing is not always "one price fits all."
* Are comfortable working from customer drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and detailed requirements.
* Have strong math and analytical skills.
* Are very comfortable working in Excel and business/ERP systems.
* Can catch discrepancies before they become production problems.
* Are comfortable asking questions when something doesn't look right.
* Can prioritize multiple quotes, orders, customer requests, and deadlines.
* Communicate professionally with both customers and shop/production personnel.
* Take ownership of details and follow through.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, technical sales, estimating, quoting, customer service, account management, or a related field.
Preferred:
* Experience working for a contract manufacturer, job shop, metal fabricator, machine shop, or other make-to-order manufacturing environment.
* Experience reading manufacturing drawings and specifications.
* Experience with Epicor or another ERP/CRM system.
* Experience with international regulations a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is helpful but not required.
THIS POSITION MAY NOT BE FOR YOU IF...
* You prefer repetitive work where pricing and products rarely change.
* You don't enjoy reviewing detailed documentation.
* You are uncomfortable questioning a price, drawing, specification, or customer request when something doesn't match.
* You prefer a sales role focused primarily on cold calling or prospecting.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
A quote or order isn't just paperwork. The information you provide becomes the foundation for what our production team manufactures. Accuracy up front helps prevent pricing mistakes, production delays, quality issues, and customer problems later.
If you're someone who notices when a number, revision, price, or requirement doesn't look right and you don't let it slide, we'd like to talk to you.
