UI/UX Designer Intern

About this role

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer Intern to join our remote team.

We are a US-based software company developing our own applications as well as custom software for clients. One of our main areas is software for medical organizations, along with other web and business applications.

This internship is a good fit for someone who already understands the basics of UI/UX design and wants to get faster at designing real product interfaces, working with developers, and turning requirements into usable screens.

You will not be expected to design every interface from scratch. In most of our projects, we work with an existing design system and component library. Your job is to understand the requirement, choose the right components, build the screen quickly, present it to the team, receive feedback, and improve it.

For many of our interfaces, we currently use existing components and icon libraries.

## What you will work on

You will design and improve interfaces for real web applications and internal products.

Typical tasks include creating application screens, dialogs, forms, dashboards, tables, settings pages and user flows; preparing responsive layouts; improving existing interfaces; and building new screens from existing UI components.

You will work closely with developers team, receive feedback, and iterate on your designs.

You may also occasionally work on website pages, landing pages and other visual materials.

A large part of the work is about being able to turn an idea or requirement into a clear interface quickly, rather than spending a long time designing every element from zero.

## What we are looking for

You should have a basic understanding of UI/UX principles and be comfortable working in Figma, Penpot, or a similar design tool.

We are especially interested in someone who:

• can quickly create clean interfaces using existing components and design systems;
• understands spacing, typography, hierarchy, forms, navigation and responsive design;
