Position Description:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with month-end close, preparing journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, invoicing and preparation of internal and external financial reports. Successful candidates are detail oriented, efficient and have the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and revenue adjustments
• Manage deferred revenue, including tracking, reconciliation, and monthly revenue recognition
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
• Support the month-end and year-end close process, including account reconciliations
• Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations
• Manage customer billing, including invoice preparation, review and coordination with internal teams
• Manage and follow up on Accounts Receivables
• Process and record payroll, including reviewing reports, posting entries, and reconciling accounts
• Manage payroll tax and revenue related tax filings for specific states, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements not covered by external providers
• Assist with audit support, including preparing schedules and documentation
