Staff Accountant

About this role

Chan & Chen CPA LLP is a full-service public accounting firm located in San Marino, California. We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant who is looking for a long-term career in public accounting to join our team.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience providing a variety of public accounting services, including:

• Preparation of business tax returns, including:
• C Corporations
• S Corporations
• LLCs and Partnerships
• Trusts
• Preparation of individual income tax returns
• Bookkeeping and accounting services
• Audit and assurance engagements
• Preparation of reviewed and compiled financial statements
• Payroll processing and related compliance services
• Client communication and support

Qualifications

• CPA License or EA (Enrolled Agent) designation preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese Chinese
• Experience with QuickBooks, Lacerte, and other tax preparation software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
