Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About this role

Trisun is hiring a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join us as we prepare to launch a new SaaS product — weeks away from its App Store and Play Store release.

We're building in a competitive, fast-moving space where quality is the product. The stack spans a modern web application and native iOS and Android apps. We need someone sharp to own QA end-to-end as we ship to real users.

Responsibilities

• Own the QA function across web (Next.js) and mobile (iOS and Android) platforms
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for new features and regression cycles
• Perform exploratory testing to surface edge cases and real-world usage bugs
• Conduct cross-device testing across iPhone, iPad, Android phones, and Android tablets
• Execute accessibility audits using VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android)
• File clear, reproducible bug reports in Linear with logs, screen recordings, and repro steps
• Manage TestFlight and Google Play Console internal beta cycles
• Coordinate beta tester feedback and triage incoming reports
• Run release sign-off checklists before every production deployment
• Collaborate directly with the founder on test strategy and quality priorities
• Build the foundation for automated testing as the product scales

Qualifications

*Required*

• 2–3 years of hands-on QA experience testing mobile and web applications
• Strong exploratory testing skills with a proven track record of finding bugs others miss
• Excellent bug reporting skills — clear repro steps, logs, and evidence
• Working knowledge of iOS and Android testing workflows, including TestFlight and Google Play Console
• Experience using issue tracking tools (Linear, Jira, GitHub Issues, or equivalent)
• Strong written and spoken English, sufficient to communicate clearly with international users and stakeholders
• Self-directed — able to plan and execute testing cycles with minimal supervision
