Karkaye is building India's student-centric campus platform: one system for coaching centres, schools and colleges to run attendance, fees, tests, admissions and communication, with a lifelong profile that the student owns. Our products include KarkayeOS for institutions, Stud-one for students, Gud Parent for parents, and Tutors-one for faculty.

You will be our quality owner. Institutes run their daily operations on Karkaye, so a broken fee receipt or a lost attendance record reaches a parent's phone within minutes. Your job is to stop that from happening, through automated, load and manual testing across our web apps, mobile apps and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own the test strategy for each release: decide what gets automated, what gets load-tested and what needs manual exploration.
• Build and maintain end-to-end UI and API automation suites in TypeScript, and run them in the CI/CD pipeline on every merge.
• Test REST APIs written in Go: contracts, authentication, role-based permissions, error handling and data integrity.
• Design and run load and stress tests for peak events, such as fee-due dates, exam windows and results day, and report capacity limits before they are hit.
• Do exploratory manual testing on web and mobile (Android and iOS), including low-bandwidth and offline-first flows like attendance sync.
• Verify payment and notification flows end to end: UPI and card payments through the gateway, receipts, and WhatsApp/SMS alerts.
• Check multi-tenant SaaS behaviour: one institution's data must never be visible to another, and student data must follow consent rules for minors.
• Write clear bug reports, track them to closure, and own regression sign-off for production releases.
• Track and report quality metrics such as escaped defects, test coverage and flaky-test rate.
