## Meet the Team

The Cryptographic Services Team develops and maintains Cisco’s core backend PKI services, enabling secure operations for multiple customer-facing and business-critical applications across the company. Our services are primarily Java-based, Spring Boot applications, but we also use Ansible, Python, and GitLab/Github for our CI/CD automation and our operations.

## Your Impact

We are seeking a mid-level developer who is highly motivated, passionate, and outgoing. The ideal candidate will:

• Play a key development role in our Certificate Services working with the technical leader of that service
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, SREs, and architects across different domains and time zones.
• Develop new features on the Cert Services Applications. Participate in code reviews, flesh out feature details with our client teams, etc.
• Maintain close working relationship with junior and senior team members
• Willing to be part of the after hours, on-call rotation
• Help users with support on a weekly rotation

## Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in Java and Spring Boot; familiarity with Python considered a plus
• Experience in cryptographic technologies, including X.509 certificates and TLS protocols
• Experienced with Linux and Tomcat
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD practices, using tools such as GitLab/GitHub, ArgoCD, Helm, and Ansible
• Experience working with SQL databases

## Preferred Qualification

• Demonstrated experience in designing and building secure, scalable backend systems
• Familiarity of cryptography and PKI concepts
• Strong background in high volume service development and DevOps practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of mentoring and supporting team members at all levels
