Our 1QA service gives customers a complete product quality function through a quality-focused software engineer, supported by TestFirst technology, AI, and standardized quality processes. In addition to identifying and reporting defects, 1QA engineers investigate root causes and, where the engagement scope and customer access permit, implement and validate targeted bug fixes within customer codebases.

Responsibilities

●              Learn customer products, users, workflows, architecture, and risks.

●              Plan coverage and perform hands-on manual, exploratory, functional, regression, and release testing.

●              Build and maintain reliable automated tests within TestFirst.

●              Reproduce failures and identify root causes using technical tools and source code.

●              Implement authorized bug fixes, add regression tests, and submit reviewable changes.

●              Document findings and communicate quality and release risks to customer stakeholders.

●              Manage test environments and track coverage, automation health, and outstanding risks.

●              Use TestFirst and company-provided AI tools critically while validating their output and following all security and access requirements.

Requirements

●              One to three years of software development, SDET, or technical automation experience.

●              Experience building real applications and investigating and fixing defects.

●              Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or another programming language.

●              Ability to understand, debug, and safely modify unfamiliar codebases.
