About this role

## Why this role matters

Healthcare software is notorious for making clinicians' lives harder, not easier. Cleo Health is building the AI suite that finally gets it right, covering clinical documentation, coding, billing, and more for large acute care enterprises. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and 20 people. We grow because we embed inside organizations, learn how they actually work, and ship products that people want to use.

## What you'll do

  • Design, build, and ship product features end to end, from user problem to production, across the full stack.
  • Own the interfaces clinicians interact with every day. Sweat the details on usability, reliability, and speed.
  • Build next-gen AI agents that automate clinical workflows: documentation, coding, billing.
  • Work across engineering, sales, customer success, and marketing to make sure your technical decisions are grounded in real customer and business context.
  • Talk to customers regularly. Understand the clinical workflow. Let what you learn drive what you build.
  • Tighten data quality, edge-case handling, and reliability across the system.

## Who you are

  • 3+ years of product engineering experience, comfortable working across frontend and backend (Python, TypeScript, React or similar).
  • Proficient with AI-native dev tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, and comfortable building with LLMs, not just using them.
  • Strong product instincts. You think about the user, not just the system. You can look at a workflow and spot what's broken before anyone files a ticket.
  • Comfortable owning an ambiguous surface area. Engineering and product aren't separate jobs here.
  • You care about what we're doing. We support doctors across the country to live happier lives and improve patient care.
  • Healthcare, health-tech, or regulated industry experience is a plus.

## How we work

  • Be curious. Ask questions, challenge assumptions. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't mean it's right.
  • Use AI...
