About this role

  • We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Infrastructure/Developer Tooling) who loves building the tools that make other engineers more effective. You’ll be a key contributor to Homebase’s platform infrastructure team—writing the internal tooling, automation, and services that power how our engineering organization builds and ships software every day
  • Build, maintain, and improve internal developer tools that streamline engineering workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments
  • Own the implementation of well-scoped features end-to-end—from writing the code to monitoring it in production
  • Identify and address friction points in the developer experience, using data and metrics to prioritize improvements
  • Contribute to the reliability and scalability of our AWS-based infrastructure within defined domains
  • Write clean, testable, maintainable code that upholds and advances Homebase engineering standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with platform, security, and product teams to understand requirements and make sure your work fits the broader picture
  • Actively participate in on-call rotations, helping identify and resolve infrastructure issues
  • Collaborate with teammates and begin influencing engineering decisions on your team
  • Use AI tools to drive personal effectiveness and improve your workflows
