About this role
WHY WE EXIST
Money should move as easily as data.
It doesn't today. Technology is finally catching up to the need — customers expect instant, global, programmable money. HIFI exists to fix that. Our mission is to make money programmable by default, and to give developers and businesses the tools to move value at software speed.
We're rebuilding the financial plumbing of the internet from the ground up.
THE ROLE
As a Frontend Engineer at HIFI, you will own the intersection of design and engineering — building the interfaces, interactions, and experiences that make complex financial infrastructure feel simple and inevitable.
You will concept, prototype, and ship production-quality UI across our web presence and product surfaces. You will translate design intent into code with precision, and push what's technically possible back into the design process. You will build the tools and experiences that help developers and businesses understand what programmable money actually feels like.
This isn't a role for someone who hands off to engineers or waits for design files.
If you touch it, you own it. That's how we work.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD
- Concept, prototype, and ship new web experiences that communicate the value of HIFI's products with clarity and craft.
- Build production-quality UI components and interactions — from pixel-perfect layouts to smooth, meaningful animations.
- Own the quality of UI implementation across the product, closing the gap between 90% and 100%.
- Create reusable components and contribute to a design system that lets the team move faster without sacrificing quality.
- Collaborate directly with engineers and product to define what's possible — and then build it.
- Rapidly prototype new concepts to validate ideas before full implementation.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years of front-end development or creative technology experience at a product-driven company.
- Advanced command of modern HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
