About The Role
The Staff Software Engineer, Embedded Systems, plays a critical role within the R&D Software Engineering team, supporting the design, development, and integration of next-generation diagnostic platforms. This position offers a remote work opportunity with the preference for candidates located in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will lead the development of complex embedded software components, influence system architecture decisions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant software solutions. This role requires a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems, software design, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The engineer will work closely with hardware, firmware, verification, and regulatory teams to deliver innovative diagnostic products that meet stringent industry standards and customer needs.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded systems software development
• Expert proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
• Experience with version control repositories such as Git or SVN
