Software Engineer

About this role

• The Application Data Platform team designs, builds, and maintains data-intensive applications that power customer-facing features across REST APIs and UI components
• Python is our primary language, and we take pride in delivering end-to-end solutions, from frontend and API design to backend systems and databases
• As a Software Engineer II on this team, you will help build and maintain customer-facing application features, APIs, backend services, and data workflows
• You will work closely with product managers, designers, security researchers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable software that helps simplify security for our customers
• Translate product requirements into well-designed, maintainable software with guidance from senior engineers
• Collaborate with Product Management, UX, Security Research, Data Science, and other engineering teams to build customer-facing security features
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain application features across APIs, backend services, databases, and UI components
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to implementation plans within established architecture
• Write clear, tested, and documented code
• Participate actively in code reviews by giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Debug issues, improve reliability, and help monitor production services
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to support application data flows
• Engage actively in team discussions by contributing ideas, asking questions, and helping improve team practices
