The successful candidate will plan, design, and implement new systems for high-profile radar and telescope projects in partnership with international research bodies. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge software that enables the study of the universe through advanced radio astronomy facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop software for radar projects and telescope communication systems

• Build prototype backends for users to view and manage shared scientific data

• Profile and benchmark data transfer frameworks between global research sites

• Maintain and upgrade existing software to support ongoing astronomical operations

• Collaborate with senior engineers to refine requirements and produce technical reports
