Hyra is working on behalf of MassMutual to hire for the position of Data Science Software Engineer. You will build systems, infrastructure, and pipelines that directly support Data Science and AI initiatives across the enterprise. This role involves influencing technical strategies and shaping how the organization processes and operationalizes data and AI solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to define strategies for data ingestion and cloud infrastructure.

• Serve as a technical SME across multiple technologies to guide architectural decisions and enterprise standards.

• Design and implement reusable software libraries and components to accelerate organizational development.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code to support platform scalability, reliability, and security remediation.

• Provide technical leadership for large-scale initiatives while promoting engineering best practices and high-quality delivery.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience building complex software systems including pipelines, services, and backends.

• 7+ years of professional software development experience using Python and building API services.

• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services such as EKS, EC2, and Lambda.

• Proven track record of leading complex problem solving to deliver scalable and resilient systems.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
