Hyra is working on behalf of MassMutual to hire for the position of Data Science Software Engineer. This role involves building the systems, infrastructure, and applications that directly support Data Science and AI initiatives across the enterprise. You will influence technical strategies and shape how the organization processes and operationalizes data and AI solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Design and implement reusable software libraries and components to accelerate development.

• Provide technical leadership for large initiatives while promoting engineering best practices.

• Develop strategies for data ingestion, cloud infrastructure design, and application observability.

• Build scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems in a collaborative R&D environment.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code to support platform scalability and remediate software vulnerabilities.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience building complex software systems, pipelines, and backend services.

• 7+ years of professional software development experience using Python.

• 7+ years of experience developing backend applications with API services.

• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud services including EKS, EC2, and Lambda.

• Proven ability to lead complex problem solving and guide architectural decisions.
