PLC/HMI Programmer (Req #: 1206)

Location: New York, Middletown, 10940 | Salary: $64,000.00 - $105,000.00

Hyra is working on behalf of Peckham Industries to hire for the position of PLC/HMI Programmer (Req #: 1206). This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of PLC and HMI systems to enhance industrial process functionality. The successful candidate will design, code, simulate, and test automated machinery and control systems within a variety of settings.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and troubleshoot PLC systems using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block

• Design and maintain Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems in coordination with PLC systems

• Debug software to ensure optimal system performance and provide post-go-live support

• Ensure all automated systems comply with industry safety standards and technical specifications

• Document program revisions and train technical personnel on system use and troubleshooting

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 4 years of related experience

• Proven experience as a PLC Programmer, preferably in an industrial setting

• Proficiency with PLC programming tools such as Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens

• Demonstrated experience with HMI design and development

• Ability to interpret control system plans and collaborate with automation engineering teams
