Hyra is working on behalf of KOHLER to hire for the position of Software Engineer Backend - Kohler Ventures. This role focuses on designing scalable cloud backend architecture to support the growth of new digital businesses within the KOHLER portfolio. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to drive requirements and execute the rollout of common services and libraries.

What you'll be doing

• Design cloud backend architecture that scales with business growth

• Build the forward-looking vision for hardware and software integration

• Coordinate with product teams to execute adoption of common services

• Improve code normalization across critical concerns throughout the codebase

• Collaborate with global teams and vendors across multiple time zones

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a related technical discipline

• 3+ years of professional software development experience

• 3+ years of experience using NodeJS, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL

• Experience deploying reliable and scalable applications on cloud platforms

• Ability to work on-site in New York City three days per week
