Cloudera is looking for an exceptional and passionate full-stack software engineer to join the Cloudera Data Services team. The team builds the control plane, Kubernetes operators, APIs, and web interfaces that run popular open-source query engines like Trino over table formats such as Apache Iceberg. This is an exciting opportunity to work on products that handle complex SQL query workloads on public or private clouds. The role is full stack: Go services and Kubernetes operators on the backend, React and TypeScript on the frontend.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will:

• Work on the services that provision, configure, scale, and monitor SQL warehouses on Kubernetes, in a distributed team of full-stack engineers
• Design and build Go backend services: OpenAPI-defined REST and gRPC APIs, long-running lifecycle workflows and PostgreSQL-backed state
• Build Kubernetes operators that run Trino from custom resources: controllers, CRD design, layered configuration and Helm-based deployment
• Build web applications with React and TypeScript for managing warehouses, browsing catalogs and monitoring queries and cluster health
• Own features end to end, from design through testing, rollout, and production support, as containerized services across Kubernetes flavors such as EKS, AKS, and OpenShift.
