We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help modernize a large-scale digital auction platform for a wholesale marketplace. In this fully remote contract role, you will build a new, independent backend designed to replace legacy auction management capabilities and support a digital-first experience. You will contribute to core platform features spanning inventory management, financial transactions, and customer management. Working across multiple teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions using C#, .NET Core, Microsoft Azure, and Azure DevOps. The role combines hands-on software development with technical collaboration, architectural best practices, and continuous delivery. ### Accountabilities

• Develop and implement core features for the new digital auction platform, including functionality for inventory management, financial transactions, and customer management.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, testable, and efficient C# code using .NET Core and established object-oriented programming principles.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple teams and work closely with product managers to translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize data models, database interactions, and storage solutions to support platform performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain integrations between the new platform, existing systems, and third-party services.
