Senior Software Engineer (Fern)

About this role

• As a Senior Software Engineer at Fern, you’ll build APIs, scale AI infrastructure, and design developer experiences that reach millions of people
• Scale infrastructure to keep up with growth: Work on AI systems deployed on Vercel, AWS, and Turbopuffer that must be performant, reliable, and secure under real-world load
• Stay close to customers: We work directly with API teams at companies like Nvidia, Twilio, and Square. You’ll debug real production edge cases, shape APIs based on customer feedback, and ship improvements quickly
• Collaborate across the stack: Partner closely with product designers and frontend engineers working in TypeScript and Next.js to define polished interfaces and slick user experiences
