About the Role


As a Senior Software Engineer on the Ads Manager Web Platform team, you will be at the forefront of building and scaling Uber's advertising products and its underlying platform, supporting many feature teams across ads verticals.


Your work will enable Uber to provide the best-in-class experience to advertisers, driving both customer satisfaction and revenue growth.


You will collaborate across teams including product and data science to deliver world-class advertising solutions that support Uber's growth strategy.


In this role, you'll tackle complex engineering challenges that come with operating at Uber's scale, working on systems that are highly available, reliable, and performance-optimized.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and evolve the Ads Manager web platform, enabling product teams to ship advertiser-facing features with greater speed, reliability, and scalability
• Lead the end-to-end development of new advertising capabilities, optimizing ad delivery systems while delivering intuitive, high-quality user experiences
• Architect and drive foundational systems that enhance the performance, control, and transparency of Uber's advertising marketplace for advertisers
• Raise engineering excellence through thoughtful code reviews, mentorship of junior engineers, and continuous improvement of development practices and standards
• Tackle ambiguous, high-impact problems by defining clear approaches, evaluating tradeoffs, and aligning the team toward effective, scalable solutions

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with Frontend development and data intensive applications.
• Strong knowledge of Typescript, JavaScript, React, node.js and web fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
