Summary:
In this high-impact role, the Senior Manager, Animal Relocation – Operations and Fleet will collaborate and build strong relationships with Procurement, Facilities, Fleet, and key internal and external vendors and stakeholders to provide strategic oversight of the Animal Relocation fleet. This position is responsible for the proactive lifecycle management of all vehicles, ensuring they are meticulously maintained, tracked, stocked and meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
Who We Are
The ASPCA’s Animal Relocation department is tasked with providing effective, lifesaving animal relocation and transport. Using the theories of supply and demand, relocation saves lives by transporting animals from under-resourced shelters in areas of oversupply where the chance of adoption is slim, to shelters where the chances of adoption are greater.
What You’ll Do
A critical priority of this role is ensuring the continuous availability and operational readiness of the fleet to facilitate the seamless, nationwide humane transport of animals. The Senior Manager will execute comprehensive asset and inventory management, overseeing appropriate equipment selection, procurement, and optimal stocking levels across all six waystations/storage facilities and the Irving Park Warehouse. This is a vital role for a resourceful leader to directly advance our mission by safeguarding the continuity of our transport operations and ensuring the welfare of every animal in our care.
The Senior Manager, Animal Relocation – Operations and Fleet reports directly to the Director, Relocation – Logistics and has 1 direct report.
