Senior Mainframe Project Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Project Manager to lead large-scale mainframe infrastructure, engineering, modernization, and resiliency initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong project leadership with mainframe expertise and a proven track record managing complex enterprise programs, cross-functional teams, executive stakeholders, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mainframe infrastructure, modernization, migration, resiliency, and technology refresh initiatives
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, governance, and deliverables
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to drive successful project outcomes
• Provide executive reporting, stakeholder communications, issue resolution, and strategic guidance
• Ensure compliance with PMO standards, change management processes, and delivery commitments

Required Qualifications

*Experience*

• 10+ years of IT Project and/or Program Management experience
• 7+ years managing Mainframe Infrastructure or Mainframe Engineering projects
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification
• Proven success leading large-scale enterprise technology initiatives
• Experience managing complex projects involving multiple technical teams, stakeholders, budgets, timelines, and delivery commitments
• Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical production environments

• IBM zSystems and z/OS infrastructure
• Mainframe engineering, operations, and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Mainframe modernization, hardware/software upgrades, and technology transformation initiatives
• Capacity planning, performance management, and platform optimization
• Disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency programs
• Automation, platform engineering, and operational efficiency initiatives
