Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable applications using Java and/or C#, and build responsive front-end interfaces with React. Manage automated data flows with Apache NiFi, participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree and nine years of experience, or four years of experience in lieu of a degree, along with proficiency in Java and/or C#, React, SQL querying in Microsoft SQL Server, APIs, and version control. Candidates must be able to learn the project domain and technology stack independently and hold an active Secret security clearance.

About this role

 SAIC has an immediate need for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support
the Department of Defense (DoD) with the Defense Readiness Reporting System
(DRRS) Sustainment system. 

This position is 100% remote. 

Job Description: 

*  Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure applications
using Java, C#, or both, depending on project requirements. 
* Contribute to front-end development with React building responsive,
user-friendly interfaces that meet modern web design standards. 
* Leverage Apache NiFi to design, implement, and manage automated data flows
between systems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security. 
* Requires the ability to quickly understand legacy code, tools and
technologies. 
* Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best
practices and coding standards. 
* Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure software
quality, performance, and reliability. 
* Participate in code reviews, architecture planning, and technical discussions
to ensure alignment on project goals and best practices. 
* Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education: 

* Bachelors and nine (9) years of experience; four (4) years of experience
accepted in lieu of degree.

Required Skills: 

*  Ability to independently learn the domain, and tech stack used on the
project to fill skill gaps. 
* Proficiency in Java and/or C# with experience building large-scale
applications. 
* Hands-on experience with React for front-end development (functional and/or
class-based components). 
* Strong understanding of database design and development, including
proficiency in querying SQL within an MSSQL database.  
* Familiarity with API development (REST or GraphQL) and integration. 
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. 
* Proficient with Git or other version control system (VCS) .

Required Clearance: 

* Active Secret Security Clearance.
