About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong software engineering background in Java or Python and extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and automation. The ideal candidate combines DevOps expertise with infrastructure-as-code, scripting, and the ability to build lightweight administrative interfaces that support operational workflows.

This is a fully remote contract opportunity for an engineer who enjoys designing scalable infrastructure, automating deployments, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and maintain automation tools and deployment pipelines.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
• Develop backend automation and tooling using **Java or Python**.
• Create and maintain infrastructure using **Terraform**.
• Develop lightweight administrative dashboards and internal tools using **TypeScript** and modern frontend technologies.
• Build and enhance admin panels for operational monitoring, configuration management, and support functions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize platform reliability.
• Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and SREs to improve deployment and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong programming experience in **Java or Python**.
• Hands-on expertise with **Terraform** for infrastructure provisioning and management.
