We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and build highly reliable, scalable backend systems supporting next-generation AI-powered insurance operations. In this role, you will work at the intersection of backend engineering, artificial intelligence, and large-scale data processing. You will take ownership of critical services, data models, asynchronous pipelines, and external-facing APIs that support complex business workflows. Working primarily with Python and AWS, you will help develop intelligent systems capable of processing massive volumes of unstructured information with accuracy and explainability. You will collaborate with a high-performing engineering team, influence architectural decisions, and drive technical excellence across the platform. ### Accountabilities

• Lead the scoping, architecture, design, and delivery of complex backend systems using Python and AWS, including scalable services, data models, and asynchronous processing pipelines.
• Build, deploy, and optimize LLM-powered systems capable of processing large volumes of unstructured documents and data while maintaining high standards of precision, reliability, and explainability.
• Design, develop, and maintain external-facing APIs and integrations with third-party platforms that support critical customer workflows.
• Own database architecture, query performance, and data scalability, proactively identifying optimization opportunities and managing technical debt.
