Remote Senior Data Engineer - Contract

About this role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines using Python, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS services.
Key Responsibilities Include

• Collaborating with Data Scientists to transform raw data into feature-rich, model-ready datasets and supporting feature engineering through practices like feature stores.
• Applying data quality, lineage, and governance standards to ensure trustworthy, reproducible datasets.
• Partnering with stakeholders across business, research, and technology teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
• Producing comprehensive technical documentation for testing, training, and deployment.

Qualifications And Skills

• 8+ years of experience in delivering data platforms with large datasets, high quality, and fast SLAs.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, including data processing libraries like Pandas and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data tools (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, SageMaker), Airflow, and Snowflake.
• Proven ability to develop pipelines supporting Data Science workflows, including feature engineering and model-ready datasets.
• Solid experience with end-to-end development processes, CI/CD, automated deployment, and delivering production-quality code.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent collaboration and organizational abilities across multidisciplinary teams.
