We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Remote Transportation Manager to join our Operations team. This is a full-time remote position responsible for overseeing transportation activities, improving operational efficiency, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring customer shipments are handled safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily transportation operations, coordinating with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth freight movement. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
## Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient movement of freight.
Coordinate transportation activities across multiple locations, customers, carriers, and operational teams.
Monitor shipment schedules, delivery performance, and transportation requirements to ensure customer expectations are met.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with dispatch teams, drivers, warehouse personnel, and logistics partners to resolve operational issues.
Monitor transportation performance metrics, including on-time delivery, service quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
