Position Summary

The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center have an immediate opening for an experienced Project Manager who will collaborate with the Principal Investigators and researchers to work on the administration and management of a federally funded research project related to osteoarthritis and tissue engineering. This position will report directly to Dr. Hung and Dr. Chahine, Co-PIs of the multidisciplinary project.

Responsibilities

  • Organize regular performer meetings or discussions, facilitate data sharing, and ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
  • Serve a point of contact for communication between the PIs and the funding agencies’ technical, financial, and administrative representatives.
  • Coordinate the effort across co-performer, vendor, and subwardee teams
  • In conjunction with the Grants Management Office, monitoring the study budget, including the flow of invoices and expenses
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal and university requirements, including developing and submitting of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, modifications and renewals;
  • Assisting the Principal Investigator in dissemination activities, grant and manuscript submissions
  • Reviewing and synthesizing research literature & analytics
