Product Development Assistant Manager - Cosmetics Manuf

Industry: Product development and contract manufacturing company specializing in cosmetics, skincare, and personal care

Role Overview: Support end-to-end product development within the beauty and skincare category, from concept to launch. Manage projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors, and ensure products meet market trends, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive product development projects from brief to launch, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
2. Collaborate with clients to develop detailed product briefs and innovative concepts
3. Identify and liaise with suitable manufacturers and suppliers
4. Evaluate product samples for quality, performance, and market fit
5. Prepare product specifications, costing, Gantt charts, and bill of materials
6. Coordinate with internal teams (Regulatory, Design, Purchasing, Logistics, Accounting)
7. Ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements and documentation
8. Manage vendor communications (pricing, packaging, technical documents)
9. Prepare marketing sheets and maintain proper documentation (e.g., NDAs, samples)

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry would be a HUGE advantage
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as product development in cosmetics/skincare/personal care industry
3. Strong interest and knowledge in beauty, skincare, and color cosmetics trends
4. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with ability to handle multiple timelines
5. Detail-oriented with ability to analyze product quality, specifications, and market fit
6. Professional working proficiency in English
