Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Allergy Consultant)

The role

We currently have an opening for a full-time Pharmaceutical Sales Representative based in the Richmond, Virginia region.

Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, the Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Allergy Consultant) is responsible for maintaining the current business and driving sales growth with ALK prescription AIT products and future pharmaceutical products.

Your responsibility

• Exceed Sales Quotas and business objectives for the assigned territory business unit
• Maximize new business opportunities with physicians and other health service providers
• Present therapeutic products and creatively educate medical personnel on clinical information
• Build trust and credibility and become a true collaborator in commercial success
• Understand and execute responsibilities in a compliant manner, adhering to all ALK policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with fellow sales team members to share successes, challenges and key market insights

*This position requires moderate travel to include occasionally overnights in territory and approximately 3-5 company-related events per year (potentially over weekends), i.e. tradeshows and sales meetings.*

Your profile

• Bachelor's Degree required in Medical Sciences, Marketing, or Business preferred from an accredited institution
• 2+ years Medical-related Business to Business Sales Experience preferred
• 2-5 years of Pharmaceutical Sales experience preferred
• Experience calling on Pediatricians/Family Practice highly preferred, but not required. Experience with Allergy products a plus.
• Demonstrated teamwork and self-leadership skills/self-starter (autonomous territory)
