Manager, Trade Lifecycle Operations | NYC | Hybrid | Investment Management

A growing investment management firm is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee trade support across multiple asset classes. This role will manage a team responsible for trade lifecycle processing, settlements, reconciliations, and operational controls while partnering closely with investment, risk, technology, and finance teams. The position offers significant leadership exposure and the opportunity to enhance processes within a fast-paced investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and develop a team responsible for post-trade operations
2. Oversee trade lifecycle activities including settlements, reconciliations, and exception management
3. Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues
4. Partner with internal stakeholders to improve workflows and controls
5. Drive automation and process improvement initiatives
6. Monitor operational risk and ensure adherence to internal procedures
7. Support onboarding of new products, counterparties, and business initiatives

Ideal Background

1. 10+ years of operations or middle office experience within financial services
2. Prior people management or team leadership experience
3. Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes and operational controls
4. Experience supporting multiple asset classes
5. Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
6. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
