What you’ll do

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Conduct financial report writing and interpretation to provide insights into financial performance
• Collaborate with team members on budgeting and forecasting activities
• Engage in auditing processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management

Basic qualifications

• Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with non-profit accounting or governmental accounting practices
• Previous experience in public accounting or corporate finance settings
