Junior Accountant - General Ledger

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

General Purpose

Responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining accounts receivable/payable, balance sheet schedules, and ledgers, account, and bank reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the Accounting Supervisor in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

• prepare journal entries
• prepare various reimbursement spreadsheets
• review and process invoices
• assist in account/bank reconciliations
• maintain accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger
• prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• assist with other accounting projects
• work under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
• knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• knowledge of financial reporting
• technical accounting skills
• previous experience of general accounting
• proficiency in MS Office and relevant accounting software (e.g., AppFolio)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour
