General Summary:

Qualcomm IT is seeking a Cloud Architect / Engineer to help define, implement, and scale enterprise cloud platforms across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and hybrid enterprise environments. This role will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for shaping cloud architecture standards, operational practices, automation frameworks, security posture, governance models, and platform reliability supporting enterprise workloads spanning compute, databases, analytics, AI/ML, Kubernetes, and hybrid connectivity.

This is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role for an engineer or architect who brings strong enterprise cloud experience, practical operational knowledge, and the ability to drive alignment across infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams. While OCI experience is valuable, Qualcomm is also seeking candidates with deep AWS experience and strong foundational cloud engineering capabilities who can help evolve and mature a multicloud strategy over time. The ideal candidate brings broad experience implementing and operating secure, scalable cloud environments, establishing governance and operational standards, driving infrastructure automation, and partnering across organizations to improve reliability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency at enterprise scale.

This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).

Key Responsibilities

• Define and help evolve enterprise cloud platform strategy across OCI, AWS, and hybrid infrastructure environments including landing zone architecture, environment segmentation, governance frameworks, and operational standards
