About this role
Connexus Hub Inc. is a woman-owned small business that supports federal agencies with professional and technical services. We are hiring a mid-level Graphic Designer for a federal corrections training modernization program.
You will produce the visual and multimedia assets for a portfolio of e-learning courses, micro courses, and classroom materials — working alongside instructional designers rather than downstream of them, so that visual design and accessibility are decided at template level before production begins. The work is fully remote and this position is contingent on contract award.
What you will do
- Produce high-quality visual materials for instructional content and digital platforms using industry-standard graphic design software.
- Create and manipulate multimedia assets that deliver seamless and engaging visual training materials.
- Use AI-assisted tools within the approved authoring and graphics software to support animation and graphic production, with every AI-assisted output reviewed and approved by a qualified instructional designer before it enters a deliverable.
- Work closely with instructional designers and project management to support curriculum development and modernization.
- Follow established design practices and maintain accuracy so deliverables meet the program's quality standards.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, multimedia design, or a related field.
- Five or more years producing visual and multimedia assets, including work delivered into e-learning or training products.
- Production-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Envato Elements. This is a screening requirement.
- Working knowledge of accessible design: color contrast, captioning, alternative text, and how visual choices affect Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance.
- Availability during core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday.
