## Responsibilities
Peraton is delivering advanced mission planning, digital engineering, and command‑and‑control capabilities supporting the U.S. Government’s space communications enterprise. Our team uses modern MBSE practices to translate mission needs into precise, traceable, and verifiable technical requirements across a complex, multi‑system environment.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of core platform services that support secure, scalable, and reliable satellite ground communications and data‑transport capabilities. You will develop frontend and backend architectures, implement mission‑critical services, and participate in technical decision‑making that ensures consistent, resilient, and compliant system performance for U.S. Government missions. In this role, you will create backend components, collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams, and ensure technical solutions align with system requirements and program objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Build multi‑tenant backend services on public cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Architect, develop, and consume APIs and backend services with an emphasis on automation, security, testing, and maintainability.
- Create software system designs from business requirements and translate functional needs into technical specifications.
- Present technical designs and recommendations to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Work closely with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Test teams to ensure alignment between requirements, models, and system implementation.
- Develop backend services using Python, including APIs, automation logic, and platform‑level components.
