JOB SUMMARY:
The Full Stack Developer Lead is a working lead who both manages and actively contributes to the Full Stack Developer team. This role is responsible for the team's day-to-day management — including assigning and prioritizing work, overseeing performance, and supporting the growth of each team member — while also personally designing, building, and maintaining backend services, APIs, and front-end applications across Supplylogic's technology platform, including integrations with supplier and partner systems. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and well-monitored software solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Team Leadership & Management
• Directly manage the Full Stack Developer team, including assigning and prioritizing work, setting expectations, and overseeing day-to-day workload across the team.
• Own performance management for the team, including regular 1:1s, performance feedback, goal-setting, and contributing to performance reviews.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Full Stack Developers, helping them grow their skills and resolve technical blockers.
• Lead code reviews and establish coding standards, patterns, and best practices across the backend and front-end codebase.
• Lead onboarding and training for new developers, including training on Supplylogic's systems, tools, and domain knowledge (e.g., supplier integrations, WMS).
• Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and production incidents, guiding troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and architecture direction in collaboration with the team.
• Report on team progress, capacity, and risks to the VP-Development, and represent the team in cross-functional planning discussions.
